Position summary and duties
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture with brushes, spray guns, or rollers; apply primers or sealers to prepare surfaces.
- Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or water or abrasive blasting.
- Protect surfaces during painting, post paint signs, and clean and store paint, tools, and equipment appropriately.
- Coordinate with vendors to adjust paint, stain, or varnish colors.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and communicate professionally.
- Support team goals, meet quality standards, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and work demands
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred; at least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required; no license or certification is specified.
- Physical work includes reaching above and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, climbing ladders, manipulating objects, and standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
