Key Responsibility

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and guide chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Ensure food is prepared consistently according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Monitor food presentation, taste, and portion control.
  • Oversee kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory, stock levels, and food ordering when required.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Coordinate kitchen activities during busy service periods.
  • Handle scheduling and staff allocation in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Assist with menu development and introducing new dishes.
  • Resolve operational issues and ensure smooth kitchen workflow.

**Required Experience**

  • Should be able to provide direction for all day-to-day operations in the kitchen
  • Strong culinary knowledge and cooking skills.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
  • Time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Cost control and inventory management skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
