Solution Architect – Data Centre & Smart Infrastructure

Overview

Responsibilities

• **End-to-end solution delivery**
• — from requirements capture and HLD/LLD through SIT, UAT, and operational handover; you are the single technical authority across the programme.
• **Stakeholder management**
• — you run relationships with client executives, PMO leads, vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams; you translate complex technical decisions into clear business outcomes.
• **Integration architecture**
• — BMS, DCIM, SCADA, CCTV/VMS, access control, fire alarm, and AI analytics platforms; multi-vendor, multi-protocol (BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, REST).
• **Programme governance**
• — risk registers, CAPEX/OPEX modelling, BoMs, delivery planning, and executive reporting; you bridge engineering and programme management.
• **Team leadership**
• — mentoring engineers, setting technical standards, and ensuring quality across documentation, testing, and handover artefacts.
• Must-have experience
• 10+ years in solution architecture, systems engineering, or technical programme delivery within
• mission-critical data centre or smart infrastructure
• environments.
• Proven track record of
• managing senior stakeholders
• — client C-
• suite, government entities, or Tier 1 contractors — in a data centre or critical infrastructure context.
• Deep hands-on experience with

• integration, not just at design level — you have implemented, tested, and commissioned these systems.
• Strong command of
• OT/IoT protocols
• : BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, REST/HTTP APIs.
• Comfortable owning
• CAPEX/OPEX estimates, BoMs, and TCO projections
• as part of solution design.
• Fluent in both engineering language and executive reporting — you do not need a PM to translate for you.
• Nice to have
• Relevant certifications: CDCP, CDCS, CDCE (Uptime Institute), PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• Exposure to digital twin, BIM, or AI/ML analytics platforms in an operations context.
• Background in system integrator firms or large-scale infrastructure delivery programmes.
• Experience with cloud-native IoT platforms (Azure IoT, Kafka).
