Join Our Team as a Software Service Engineer

Job Hub Global is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused **Software Service Engineer (French Speaking)** to support critical utility software applications for our client in Qatar.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical troubleshooting experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer support.

As a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved efficiently while maintaining agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and validate incoming customer inquiries within established SLA requirements.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software incidents and application defects.
  • Perform first-line support activities, including user account creation, password resets, and access management.
  • Drive service tickets through to resolution while ensuring compliance with SLAs.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, problem records, and technical documentation in English.
  • Monitor application performance and support customers in maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with higher-level support teams and application management teams when escalation is required.
  • Prioritize and re-prioritize incidents based on business impact and SLA commitments.
  • Administer application users, permissions, and security settings.
  • Support application monitoring, health checks, patching, and system recovery activities.
  • Identify security concerns and contribute to application security improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of configuration changes and system updates.
  • Ensure application availability, reliability, and service quality standards are consistently achieved.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in Tier 1 and Tier 2 application support environments.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
  • Experience using ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow, Maximo, Remedy, or similar systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve technical issues independently.
  • Experience working with databases and application environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global support environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • French language proficiency is mandatory.
  • Arabic language skills will be considered an advantage.

Working Hours

  • 10 hours per day
  • 5 working days per week
  • Rotational shifts between Sunday and Thursday
  • Shift coverage between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM
  • Weekend support may be required on a rotational basis
