Software Integration Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure software in customer test and production environments with a multidisciplinary team.
• Configure server hardware and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and Bluetooth devices.
• Modify product code to meet customer-specific needs.
• Demonstrate integrated systems during functional acceptance testing and on-site system testing.
• Travel to sites to see project work in operation; travel may be up to 25% depending on the project.
• Investigate production defects through root cause analysis.
• Provide limited rotating on-call escalation support, approximately 10%.
• Maintain and improve automated testing and deployment tools; perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience; co-op experience is considered.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with SQL and knowledge of databases.
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language; C# is preferred, and Java, C++, or other languages are acceptable.
• Ability to travel and perform night or weekend work.

Additional assets

• Knowledge of Flyway, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Python, or Ignition is an asset.
