Software Engineer Trainee

As a member of the DevOps team, you will work alongside DevOps engineers, team leads, and collaborate with other stakeholders to build, automate, and support DevOps projects.

In the role of DevOps Intern, symplr provides you with a platform to learn the required technologies, methodologies, and best practices for cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment processes.

This role includes on-the-job training for the initial four months on the required tools, technologies, and processes. From the fifth month onward, the role is expected to apply and enhance technical skills by contributing to real project assignments and DevOps initiatives.

• Roles and R esponsibilities
  • Support department initiatives and values by promoting automation, reliability, and continuous improvement across the platform.
  • Assist in evaluating system performance, troubleshooting issues, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers, developers, analysts, QA, and project managers to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment processes.
  • Learn and apply best practices in configuration management, infrastructure as code, and monitoring/logging solutions.
  • Support environment setup, deployment, and integration tasks under the guidance of senior DevOps team members.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, workflows, troubleshooting steps, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in system monitoring and alerting processes, helping to identify and resolve incidents.
  • Research and recommend improvements in tools, automation, and practices to enhance reliability and scalability.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally when interacting with team members and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and learning projects as assigned.

• Skills and Qualifications Required
  • B. Tech IT/CSE graduated during 2024, 2025 or 2026
  • Good understanding of OS, Servers, Networks
  • Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of programming in any language
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies
  • Good problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for DevOps Engineering, proactive and self-driven Good to Have
  • Experience working on academic or personal projects using any Cloud Technologies.
  • Knowledge of basic DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to version control systems like Git
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker
