Software Developer Trainee

Apprentice/Intern assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications while gaining hands-on experience in software engineering practices. Working closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, they contribute to project delivery, learn industry-standard tools and technologies, and develop problem-solving and technical skills. They collaborate with mentors and team members to understand requirements, follow established development standards, and support the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Assist in analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions under guidance from senior engineers.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java-based applications following established coding standards and best practices.
• Ensure software components are properly documented, unit tested, and ready for QA validation.
• Contribute to the design and development of REST APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and test cases.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of application issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Continuously learn new technologies, frameworks, and development practices to improve technical proficiency.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Participate in internal technical discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and training programs.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Must Have:
• Understanding of Core Java, OOP concepts, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
• Knowledge of Java 8+ features, Collections Framework, Streams, and Lambda Expressions.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals, coding best practices, and SDLC concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
• Nice to Have:
• Exposure to Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend application development.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Basic exposure to AWS, Docker, and CI/CD concepts.
• Understanding of Microservices architecture concepts.
• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (BE/B.Tech graduated in the current year or last year).
