Software Engineer - .NET

Role overview

Application development and testing

• Work closely with the .NET System Analyst.
• Review technical designs and confirm alignment with requirements.
• Code to requirements and support testing and deployment.
• Assist with code reviews and solution validation when needed.
• Define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Validate functionality against business expectations.
• Coordinate defect tracking and resolution with development teams.

Production support and integration

• Provide L2/L3 production support for .NET applications.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support releases, patches, and application enhancements.
• Identify improvement opportunities and reduce recurring issues.
• Design and support integrations using REST APIs, web services, and messaging systems.
• Use SQL Server for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across systems.

Required qualifications

• At least three years of .NET or web application development or support experience.
• Strong experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Java, VB, and web services.
• Hands-on experience with IIS, Windows Services, and application configuration.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including querying, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools, production environments, and incident management.
• Experience with ITIL, ServiceNow, or another ticketing system process.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments.
• Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work on-call or non-standard hours in the Asia time zone and travel occasionally.

Additional qualifications

• Experience supporting high-volume, business-critical applications such as EDI is relevant.
• Understanding of manufacturing back-office, shop-floor, and trading-company operations is value added.
