The Microsoft 365 Intelligent Conversation and Communications Cloud (IC3) powers billions of real-time interactions across Copilot experiences, Microsoft Teams, Dynamics, and solutions built on Azure Communication Services. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• AI infrastructure, information retrieval, grounding, or conversational systems. Distributed systems or large-scale cloud services. Azure or other cloud platforms. High-throughput, low-latency backend systems. Storage, caching, event-driven, or real-time data systems. Service reliability, observability, DevOps, or incident response. Performance and cost optimization. Experience with modern AI technologies, including Generative AI, LLMs, RAG-based solutions, and cloud-scale data platforms. Ability to apply AI-driven innovations to improve developer productivity, operational efficiency, and customer experiences.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $85,800 - CAD $169,300 per year.
