About the role
We’re hiring a pragmatic Software Engineer to design and deliver backend services that power customer-facing products. You’ll own features end-to-end, write maintainable code, and ship reliable systems with an emphasis on quality and performance.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain backend APIs and microservices.
- Deliver clean, tested code; participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps to ship features.
- Improve performance, scalability, and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot incidents and lead root-cause analyses.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture discussions.
Requirements
- 3+ years professional experience (backend or full-stack).
- Strong in one or more: Java, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or C#.
- Experience with REST APIs, relational/NoSQL databases, and message queues.
- Cloud and container experience (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker; Kubernetes preferred).
- Automated testing and CI/CD experience.
- Clear communicator, pragmatic problem-solver, and team player.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. English required; Arabic a plus. Eligible to work in Qatar.
Nice-to-have
- Event-driven systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), observability tooling, fintech or SaaS experience.
