Your role Are you passionate about building and delivering robust and scalable IT solutions?

We are looking for a Software Engineer to:

• design and develop new software products using modern technologies and agile methodologies
• have a proactive and solution driven attitude to help deliver time sensitive project deliveries
• work closely with enterprise and security architects to ensure strategic integration with hosting and security platforms
• apply modern software development practices to ensure consistent state-of-the-art design and implementation of the software product
• ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and robust software products that seamlessly integrate into the enterprise-wide ecosystem and access channels.
• analyze business requirements, design and implement solutions, and develop software components to incrementally enhance the product
• ensure that produced code is secure, stable, scalable, and operational
• support the product in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
• collaborate effectively with other global IT teams

Your team In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services that fulfill client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. Our stream provides seamless digital trading access and solutions to clients, covering front‑to‑back processes across the securities trading value chain.

You’ll be working within the Trading and Transfer of Assets stream, in the Receiving Services Post‑Trade area. As a member of a development team, you will design, build, and continuously improve strategic post‑trade solutions with a strong focus on tax‑related services. These solutions support the UBS Global Wealth Management business across Europe and APAC. You will collaborate closely with business and IT‑aligned teams globally to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant post‑trade services that integrate seamlessly with upstream trading platforms.

Your expertise

• at least 8+ years of experience in Java (Kotlin nice to have), SpringBoot, REST and related server side technologies
• experience with working with postgresql databases.
• solid know-how and experience in building robust and scalable software products that integrate into the enterprise system landscape of a large financial institution.
• proven knowledge and experience in security and cloud hosting architectures.
• experience in creating good quality software documentation including high level and detailed architecture diagrams, UML and Sequence Diagrams.
• working knowledge of software design patterns and web technologies.
• experience in the financial industry sector, ideally in tax is a nice to have.
• Some proficiency in React, and TypeScript.
• a strong understanding of Oauth2 based security.
