A financial services company is seeking a software engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Contract duration is 12 months.

- The role is hybrid in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Required skills and experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- 8 years of Java engineering and 6 years of Angular UI engineering experience.
- 3 years of REST or SQL engineering experience, ideally both, plus Kubernetes or OpenShift experience.
- 8+ years of Java application development using Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, REST APIs, JDBC, JPA, and unit testing.
- 6+ years building responsive and scalable Angular user interfaces.
- 3+ years of SQL Server development, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling.
- Strong knowledge of J2EE architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, microservices, DevSecOps, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence.
Desired skills
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Copilot Agent, Devin, or other AI-assisted development tools is desired.
- Knowledge of Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, or similar application monitoring tools is desired.

- Consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning.
- Analyze complex software engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
- Help resolve complex situations while meeting policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and deliverables.
- Collaborate strategically with client personnel.
