Work and expectations
- Contribute to design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Build scalable and reliable systems and collaborate with peers and customers across Amazon.
- Deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.
Basic qualifications
- At least 3 years of engineering team management experience and 7 years working directly within engineering teams.
- At least 3 years designing or architecting systems for reliability and scale.
- At least 8 years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
- Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network lifecycle.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leaders about requirements, features, designs, and product strategy.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineers.
Compensation
- Base salary range is CAD 171,400 to CAD 286,200 annually; additional compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
