Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate checkout services and own work from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
- Develop microservices using Kotlin, Java, or C#/.NET and integrate with AWS-hosted data stores, caches, and streaming systems.
- Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, observability, resilience, and operational readiness for availability and latency goals.
- Help decompose legacy monoliths into reusable services in collaboration with engineering, product, and partner teams.
- Use AI-assisted tools and workflows for coding, testing, and troubleshooting, and safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions where appropriate.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience owning services or features through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support in a cloud environment.
- Strong coding, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including core computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and complexity.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with microservices or service-oriented architectures on AWS or a similar cloud, including Redis or other caches, NoSQL stores such as DynamoDB, and streaming or messaging systems such as Kinesis.
- Experience operating high-availability, high-throughput, mission-critical services with observability, reliability, and incident-response practices.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, React, and REST or GraphQL in full-stack systems.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems and AI-assisted coding tools, or safely integrating AI-powered capabilities into production services.
