Software Developer - EDI Team

Position Title: EDI Developer Department: Information Technology Reports To: EDI Supervisor Brief Description: The developer will be part of the EDI Development team with primary focus on supporting and implementing proprietary client and carrier interfaces.

Major Responsibilities:

• Work closely with other team members to develop enterprise-level benefits management products as defined by customer and market requirements
• Perform all functions across the entire development cycle (detailed analysis, design, code, test, product launch, and production support) with the primary focus on analysis, design and development
• Work with internal resources to clarify requirements and ensure that project design meets customer’s business and technical requirements
• Research issues discovered by QA or customers and develop workable solutions to the issues Qualifications:
• Strong analytical, problem solving and planning ability. Detailed oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
• C# programming skills
• Background in developing complex SQL statements within MS SQL Server
• Familiarity with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
• Experience as .NET developer or application development Experience with the following is a plus:
• Employee Benefits or other insurance applications
• VB.NET or Visual Basic 6.0
• Familiarity with MS Access
• Knowledge of 834 HIPAA interfaces
• Understanding of Agile methodologies Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• Normal office environment
• The ability to lift and transport objects such as computers, printers, etc. is required Education and Experience
• Degree or Certificate from an accredited college in an Information Technology related field or 1 – 5 years equivalent work experience.
