Role description

Co-op student in the Developer Platform team; initiatives and specific mandate depend on current priorities and assigned squad.

Potential work spans agentic AI, automation, development platforms, and improved software engineering practices.

Potential responsibilities

  • Explore, prototype, or integrate agentic AI solutions to support code understanding, task automation, pipeline analysis, or issue resolution.
  • Improve developer experience by simplifying software-team practices, tools, and processes.
  • Collect, analyze, or visualize engineering-performance data and identify AI-assisted support opportunities.
  • Automate recurring operational processes to reduce manual work, improve reliability, and increase platform adoption.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, DevSecOps, secure delivery, and development, deployment, cloud, container, or operations platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product owners; prototype improvements to team productivity, quality, security, visibility, and actionability.

Candidate profile

  • Currently enrolled in a university or college program in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on exposure to software development and at least one programming or scripting language, including through coursework, labs, personal projects, or internships.
  • Basic practical experience with CI/CD, DevOps, software platforms, or tools such as Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Jira is desired.
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, integrations, APIs, cloud, containers, or infrastructure concepts is desired.
  • Introductory familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Copilot, Azure, Artifactory, ArgoCD, or similar tools is desired.
  • Basic awareness or prior exposure to AI-assisted development, software quality, cybersecurity, and platform engineering is desired.
  • The employer seeks curiosity, initiative, interest in technology and automation, and problem-solving ability.
