The co-op joins a collaborative software team working on Ross Platform Manager, an enterprise solution that consolidates Ross product solutions.
The position is a Software Developer co-op for the winter term, January through April 2027.
What you'll do
- Work on features involving licensing, orchestration, role-based access control, and DashBoard custom panel rendering in a web browser.
- Contribute to migrating the existing solution to React.
- Participate in an Agile team to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade solutions.
- Build awareness of code smells, design patterns, and software development best practices.
What you know
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science or a similar academic program.
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with front-end libraries and frameworks such as React, Redux, and RxJS.
Additional valued experience
- Unit testing and testing frameworks such as Jest are highly valued.
- npm, Vite, Node.js, GitLab, AWS, Terraform or OpenTofu, Kubernetes, and Helm are listed as assets.
- Experience or familiarity with Agile methodology is requested.
Workplace
- Primarily remote, working from home, with occasional onsite days at the Ottawa Campus in Nepean.
Compensation
- Pay ranges from $24 to $35 per hour, based on experience.
