Kids First Group seeks a Social Worker to support students and families.
The role provides non-therapeutic support and coordinates student welfare, safeguarding, and access to social services.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-therapeutic support to students and families facing challenging circumstances.
- Liaise with schools, families, and community organizations to coordinate appropriate support.
- Support student protection and welfare matters, including concerns related to substance abuse and other social challenges.
- Identify students and families who may need additional support and refer them to appropriate services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of cases, interventions, and referrals.
- Collaborate with school staff and relevant stakeholders to promote student wellbeing.
- Handle sensitive information professionally and in accordance with safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- Either a bachelor's degree (QFE Level 7) in Social Work or Social Service and at least 2 years of youth-related social work experience.
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree (QFE Level 7) in Psychology, Counselling, Youth Development, Sociology, or a related subject and at least 4 years of youth-related social work experience.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Good case coordination, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with students, families, schools, and community services.
- Commitment to student welfare, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
