Job Purpose

The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing and enhancing the organisation’s social media presence by creating engaging content, managing online communities, and supporting digital communication objectives.

The role involves executing social media strategies across various platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging, engaging with audiences, and improving channel performance through content planning, analysis, and optimisation.

The ideal candidate will have strong social media expertise, excellent content creation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a consistent brand voice across digital channels.

Content Creation & Management

  • Create and manage engaging social media content across relevant platforms.
  • Maintain content calendars and ensure timely publishing in line with business priorities.
  • Ensure content quality, accuracy, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve audience engagement.

Community Engagement

  • Monitor social media channels and manage audience interactions professionally.
  • Track engagement and escalate relevant feedback or concerns.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyse social media performance and prepare reports with key insights.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance reach, engagement, and channel performance.

Collaboration & Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support campaigns and communications.
  • Maintain content records, approvals, and publishing schedules.
  • Follow governance standards and utilise digital tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • **3–5 years of experience in social media management, digital communications, marketing, or a related field.**
  • Strong written English with the ability to create clear, engaging content and adapt messages for different platforms and audiences.
  • Solid understanding of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) and how they work.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines, maintain consistency, and catch errors before posting.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, accountable, and collaborative approach, taking ownership of responsibilities while contributing positively to team objectives and business outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Content Writing and Community Management: Ability to write concise, engaging content for social media. Strong interpersonal skills and comfort managing community interactions.
  • Social Media Platform Knowledge: Working knowledge of LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and other platforms. Understanding of best practices and content formats. Ability to use scheduling tools.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Basic understanding of social media metrics. Ability to compile and present data clearly. Familiarity with analytics platforms.
  • Collaboration and Organization: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction.
