Support the installation, configuration and monitoring of all IT applications, systems and databases.

Core Responsibilities

 Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware,

server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application uptime, and

verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and DR replication.

 Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are

successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and

media is recycled.

 Provide level-1 support per request from various teams and entities.

Investigate and

troubleshoot issues.

 Monitor the performance and capacity of IT systems, applications and datacenter

components.

 Conduct core banking end-of-day activities and execute relevant reports.

 Respond to IT, datacenter, DB alerts and hardware malfunctions.

 Track and document IT issues and compiling incident reports.

 Performs any other duties outside the scope as and when required.

  • and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
  •  Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required
  • to perform the role.
  •  Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through
  • continued education and professional growth.
  • To manage a data center at the highest level, the candidate needs to have a
  • deep understanding of the infrastructure and systems that data centers are
  • comprised of and how they work together.
  • Servers Systems (Rack Mountable /Blade Servers / Converged Systems)
  • Storage equipment (SAN /NAS / backup & Archive Storage)
  • Operating systems (i.e., Windows, LINUX, AIX)
  • Security equipment (i.e., Biometric enabled doors and racks and
  • cameras for compliance without Blackspot)
  • Virtualization technology (VMware, HyperV, Open Shift)

Information Technology And Service Management

Proficient in understanding Infrastructure Architecture, the frameworks and

principles on which networks, systems, equipment and resources are based

both on-premises and cloud-based Setup.

Good understanding the IT infrastructure, operating systems, database system

and latest IT applications architecture including Microservices, containerized

applications.

Proficient in methods and techniques for risk management, business impact

analysis, countermeasures and contingency arrangements relating to the

serious disruption of IT services
