Job Description -

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or computer engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Working experience in the UAE, with familiarity with the UAE’s regulations is preferred.
  • Proficient in Arabic and a good command of English.
  • Problem Solving - Identifying and solving problems in a timely manner. Suggesting/implementing solutions to overcome operation related obstacles and achieve the desired results.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application uptime, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and DR replication.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled.
  • Provide level-1 support per request from various teams and entities. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Monitor the performance and capacity of IT systems, applications and datacentre components.
  • Conduct core banking end-of-day activities and execute relevant reports.
  • Respond to IT, datacentre, DB alerts and hardware malfunctions.
  • Track and document IT issues and compiling incident reports.  Performs any other duties outside the scope as and when required.
