Site Engineer - Environmental Project and Research Studies

About This Role

Job Summary:

The Site Engineer – Environmental Works & Studies is responsible for executing and supervising environmental projects and field studies, including data collection, environmental monitoring, and implementation of mitigation measures. The role ensures compliance with environmental regulations, project specifications, and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental site inspections, surveys, and field studies (soil, water, air, noise monitoring)
• Supervise on-site environmental works and ensure compliance with approved methodologies
• Collect, record, and analyze environmental data for reports and assessments
• Support preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and related documentation
• Implement environmental management plans (EMP) and mitigation measures on site
• Monitor compliance with local environmental regulations and project requirements
• Coordinate with environmental consultants, laboratories, and regulatory authorities
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly environmental reports
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste materials
• Conduct environmental awareness and safety briefings for site staff
• Identify environmental risks and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain documentation and records for audits and inspections

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in environmental projects, monitoring, or studies
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards (UAE experience preferred)
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring equipment and sampling techniques
• Experience in EIA, EMP, and sustainability practices
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental reporting tools
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
