Site Engineer – Electrical (33kV & 132kV Cabling)
Experience
Minimum 5 years in HV cable installation, testing & commissioning, preferably SEWA/DEWA/TAQA certified
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute laying, jointing, and termination of 33kV/132kV HV cables as per SEWA/DEWA/TAQA standards
- Coordinate cable route surveys, trenching, ducting, and pulling activities on site
- Oversee HV cable testing (IR, VLF, sheath, partial discharge) and prepare test documentation for utility approval
- Liaise with SEWA/DEWA/TAQA for permits, inspections, and NOCs
- Prepare method statements, RAMS, ITPs, as-built drawings, and cable schedules
- Enforce PTW, LOTO, and HV safety procedures on site
- Supervise technicians, jointers, and subcontractors; report daily progress to Project Manager
- Conduct QA/QC checks at each installation stage
