Simulator Technical Manager

Role Overview

Location and Work Arrangement

• The role is based at the Mohamed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai South, United Arab Emirates.
• The stated work location is in person.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of simulator technicians.
• Manage preventative and corrective maintenance across complex training devices.
• Coordinate responses to critical failures and aircraft-on-ground events.
• Maintain simulator qualification, regulatory compliance, and configuration standards.
• Plan and deliver simulator upgrades, modifications, and technical projects.
• Manage technical resources, parts, tooling, and support equipment.
• Work with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and regulatory authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement, technical capability, and operational performance.
• Provide hands-on technical support when required.

Requirements

• Significant experience in flight simulator maintenance and technology is required.
• At least 3 years of experience as a simulator technician is required.
• Experience maintaining, developing, and testing modern flight simulators is preferred.
• Knowledge of simulator qualification and regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management experience is preferred.
• Experience delivering complex maintenance and technical projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronics, real-time computing, visual systems, and simulator hardware and software is preferred.
• Experience with configuration changes, upgrades, and acceptance activities is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills are expected.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement is expected.

Employment and Compensation

• The employment type is full-time.
• The stated pay range is AED 302,606 to AED 320,000 per year.
