Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain simulation equipment, manikins, task trainers, and audiovisual systems. Calibrate and regularly inspect equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety. Ensure simulation lab is orderly and properly maintained before and after sessions. Maintain detailed logs of equipment use, maintenance, and technical issues; coordinate with vendors for service and repairs. Performs established procedures for setting up and checking simulation equipment for correct operation. Assist in scheduling simulation sessions and managing logistics. Resolves problems relating to simulation equipment and techniques, informing and referring to more experienced staff. Maintain simulation inventory, supply levels, and asset tracking records Ensures that the simulation laboratory safety policies are complied with and that safe working practices are adhered to. Ensures that all adequate teaching materials and supplies are readily available as required. Assists course instructors with the effective implementation of simulation-based training sessions. Monitor consumables and initiate procurement processes as needed. Ensures that simulation center policies and procedures are followed by laboratory users. Manages equipment setup, including setting up, programming, and operating patient simulators, task trainers, hospital equipment, supplies, and audiovisual equipment. Assists in the design and development of simulation scenarios based on curriculum requirements Assist educators in developing and testing new simulation scenarios. Collaborates with medical educators and healthcare professionals to ensure the simulation activities meet the learning objectives Records and analyzes data from simulation sessions for evaluation and feedback purposes Keeps up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical simulation technology Provides guidance and support to learners before, during, and after simulation sessions Manages simulation inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies and equipment Provides technical guidance and training to faculty and staff in the use of simulation technologies. Participates in training workshops and simulation-based research projects. Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
