About the Role

Cash, Bank and Receipts

• Handle cash and bank matters for the cars business, including issuing and controlling receipts.
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations and resolve or escalate differences on the same day.
• Report daily income and expenses with full bank reconciliation.

Inventory

• Prepare and maintain inventory ledgers, recording daily movements against sales.
• Conduct periodic and surprise stock counts and investigate and clear variances.
• Maintain inventory aging analysis and flag slow-moving or at-risk units.
• Obtain formal Operations sign-off on month-end closing inventory.

Recording, VAT and Suppliers

• Record each cost centre and business stream separately and accurately.
• Own VAT treatment for transactions and maintain clean, traceable records supporting filings.
• Own key supplier ledgers, prepare statements, and secure sign-offs from the Supply team and suppliers.
• Reconcile inventory value, price updates, and profit and loss with the Inventory and Pricing Analyst.
• Track marketing expenditure against approvals and budget.

Month-End and Coordination

• Respond to ad hoc finance requests from the CFO and board.
• Manage the Finance Analyst for reporting and dashboard maintenance.
• Act as the main channel between the Cars and Finance teams for financial matters, requests, approvals, and follow-ups.
• Keep teams aligned through clear, documented, and timely communication.

Process Improvement

• Identify manual and duplicated workflow steps and drive automation and system improvements.
• Standardize and document processes so controls remain effective during volume growth and staff changes.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• ACCA, part-qualified CA, or a similar professional qualification.
• Hands-on experience with cash and bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, supplier reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Strong understanding of VAT, cost centre accounting, revenue and cost cut-offs, and financial record management.
• Experience improving finance processes through automation, system improvements, or reduced manual workflows.
