Shop Salesman / Salesgirl

About This Role

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Shop Salesman / Salesgirl to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent service, maintaining product displays, and driving sales within our dairy retail outlet.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Proactively assist customers, explain product features (freshness, traditional quality), and handle inquiries with a professional attitude.
• Sales Targets: Aim to meet daily sales goals by effectively upselling and cross-selling dairy essentials.
• Merchandising & Hygiene: Ensure display chillers are well-stocked, organized according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards, and kept spotlessly clean.
• Inventory Tracking: Monitor daily stock arrivals and report any shortages or near-expiry items to the supervisor immediately.
• Transaction Management: Process payments accurately using the POS system and ensure the cash drawer balances at the end of every shift.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in retail sales, ideally within a dairy, supermarket, or food & beverage environment.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English, Hindi/Urdu, and Gujarati is mandatory to serve our diverse customer base in Bur Dubai.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of dairy product storage and food safety standards.
• Flexibility: Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
