Shipping & Maritime Officer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping, maritime, logistics, and vessel operations.
• Monitor vessel positions, routes, movements, schedules, and estimated arrival times; report vessel activity to management.
• Coordinate with captains, operators, agents, freight forwarders, port authorities, and clients.
• Monitor cargo loading, unloading, shipment progress, and delivery schedules; follow up to support timely operations.
• Prepare and review bills of lading, delivery orders, and other shipping documents.
• Identify and report delays, operational issues, and risks; resolve issues with relevant parties.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of vessel movements, shipping activities, and operational communications.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in shipping, maritime operations, vessel monitoring, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of vessel operations, ship tracking, cargo handling, shipping documentation, and maritime procedures.
• Practical experience monitoring vessel movements, schedules, and shipment progress.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organization, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Must currently reside in the UAE and hold a valid UAE residence visa.

Pay

• AED 4,000–6,000 per month.
