MEP Engineer

Design and coordination
- Review and validate architectural and engineering drawings for constructability and integration of MEP systems.
- Lead 3D coordination and BIM clash detection using Revit MEP and Navisworks to resolve conflicts before installation.
- Prepare, review, and approve shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and mechanical and electrical system layout planning.
Project management and execution
- Supervise on-site MEP installations against approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Coordinate daily site activities with general contractors, subcontractors, and site engineers.
- Monitor project progress, track MEP budgets, and review contractor payment applications against site progress.
- Manage requests for information and issue field directives or design revisions as needed.
Quality, compliance, and handover
- Ensure installations meet local building codes, safety regulations, and international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and NEC.
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify workmanship and material quality.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems for operational readiness.
- Compile and review O&M manuals and as-built drawings for project handover.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 4–6 years of MEP Engineer experience on commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
- Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and standard engineering calculation software such as HAP or ETAP.
- Thorough understanding of local and international building codes, fire safety standards, and energy-efficiency regulations.
- A Professional Engineer license, LEED certification, or PMP certification is a strong advantage.
Pay
- Pay is AED 8,000–11,000 per month.
