Ship Repair Manager

As our operations expand, you will take ownership of yard performance—overseeing complex repair activities, optimising utilisation, and shaping the operational frameworks required to support long-term growth.

In this high-impact leadership role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and commercially effective execution of all ship repair and maintenance activities.

Oversee all ship repair, maintenance, and docking/undocking activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Lead the planning and scheduling of all repair works, optimising utilisation of dry docks, floating docks, and yard resources to meet operational and commercial objectives.

Build, lead, and develop a high-performing workforce, ensuring teams are trained, equipped, and aligned to deliver against safety, quality, and productivity targets.

Maintain strong engagement with shipowners, superintendents, port authorities, and regulatory bodies, ensuring seamless coordination, compliance, and timely execution.

Manage departmental budgets and cost performance while implementing processes, performance metrics, and preventive maintenance programs to enhance efficiency, reliability, and long-term yard profitability.

We are seeking a commercially aware, operationally strong leader with a proven track record in managing shipyard repair activities and delivering performance in complex environments.

Degree in Mechanical or Naval Engineering (or equivalent), with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in shipbuilding or ship repair, including direct responsibility for yard operations, dockings, and project delivery.

Strong understanding of shipyard operations, repair methodologies, and class and regulatory frameworks, combined with proven capability in workforce leadership, planning, budgeting, and cost control within a live yard environment.

Hands-on and delivery-focused, with the ability to operate under pressure, make sound decisions quickly, and drive continuous improvement across safety, efficiency, and overall yard performance.
