Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain roll sharpening / grinding (MC) machines used in the rolling mill.
- Perform roll grinding, sharpening, dressing, and polishing as per production requirements.
- Inspect rolls for wear, defects, and dimensional accuracy before and after grinding.
- Ensure proper machine setup, calibration, and maintenance for consistent quality.
- Coordinate with the rolling mill team to ensure timely availability of prepared rolls.
- Follow all safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience as a Sharpening / MC Operator in a steel rolling mill.
- Hands-on experience with roll grinding, sharpening, and machine operation.
- Good understanding of roll maintenance, dimensional tolerances, and quality standards.
- Immediate joiners or candidates available on short notice are preferred.
- High school ,ITI & Diploma can be considered for this.
