Role overview

Responsibilities

• Use the telephone and service centre operational systems, including PABX, call centre systems, and call accounting software.
• Follow Shangri-La service centre operating policies and procedures.
• Handle guest and external calls professionally and with care, following hotel policies.
• Ensure correct transmission and receipt of fax messages.
• Record wake-up calls accurately and ensure they are handled correctly.
• Answer incoming calls and channel guest requests to appropriate departments.
• Follow up with guests when needed to confirm service or facility issues are resolved satisfactorily.
• Make operator-assisted calls and record guest messages.
• Know the hotel’s emergency procedures and how to handle them.

What the role requires

• At least one year of working experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Responsible, able to take initiative, and pleasant, friendly, and cheerful in manner.
