Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise systems, primarily OutSystems O11/ODC and Microsoft Azure.
• Design for high availability, scalability, security, integrity, and supportability; establish architecture standards, patterns, and platform governance.
• Build proofs of concept and reference implementations, conduct code-level design reviews, and resolve difficult technical problems with development teams.
• Lead architecture for Azure App Services, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Entra ID, Key Vault, networking, Azure DevOps CI/CD, and Azure AI Foundry.
• Oversee OutSystems application design, integration patterns, performance, lifecycle management, and ODC adoption.
• Identify critical system, service, and integration gaps and risks; drive remediation and modernization roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business goals, efficiency, profitability, growth, and risk management.
• Provide technical leadership and design reviews to development teams, vendors, and system integrators.
• Partner with business stakeholders, IT leadership, security, and infrastructure teams to align solutions with enterprise strategy and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in solution or technical architecture, and sustained hands-on development experience.
• Candidates should expect a practical technical assessment during selection.
• Hands-on OutSystems expertise covering platform administration, architecture, and integration is required.
• Strong hands-on expertise designing and delivering Microsoft Azure solutions is required.
• Experience with integration platforms, APIs, enterprise data, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce is required; examples include MuleSoft, REST, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present architecture decisions to technical and executive audiences.
• OutSystems architecture certification and Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification are assets, not requirements.
• Experience in global, multi-division organizations or regulated/TIC environments is an asset.

Compensation

• Typical hiring range is $100,890–$132,416 CAD gross annually; the actual base offer depends on education, licenses, certifications, and experience.
• Permanent employees may be eligible for an annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
