Senior System Administrator
About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Own and resolve complex technical issues end-to-end
- Take full technical ownership of assigned client environments
- Provide escalation support and guidance to junior engineers
- Maintain and optimise Microsoft, cloud, and network infrastructure
- Drive improvements in security, performance, and standardisation
- Contribute to automation and AI-driven operational enhancements
- Assist with the delivery of infrastructure and security projects as required
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a senior systems administrator or equivalent role
- Experience managing complex network environments or working within an MSP or MSSP
- Strong expertise across Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server
- Advanced networking capability across routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, wireless, and SD-WAN
- Experience with virtualisation platforms including VMware vSphere and Hyper-V
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and operational practices
- Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS environments
- Experience with backup platforms such as Veeam and Metallic
- Exposure to MSSQL or Oracle is advantageous
