Supervise steel-structure erection and installation for overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
Help ensure structural integrity, quality, and compliance throughout construction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise steel-structure erection and installation.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes, including IS, IRC, and Eurocode.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve site technical issues.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance; conduct inspections and report non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals; liaise with design teams on site-related clarifications.
- Maintain inspection, approval, and quality records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in building projects.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
- Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; BIM knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
