The role involves project management of structural activities and work as part of an international design consulting team.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes, standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Prepare schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified.
- Prepare drawings for own designs and sketches to be incorporated into designer or drafter drawings.
- Research design options and document findings for the Design Manager or Project Lead Engineer.
- Review shop drawings and assume the Lead Engineer role on assigned projects.
- Develop probable construction cost estimates for assigned projects.
- Direct and supervise designers or drafters when assigned.
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
- Handle routine contract administration.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 10–17 years of structural design experience in the GCC and experience managing structural activities.
- Experience working in an international building design consulting company.
- Proficiency in structural design software including SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, Prokon, Midas Set, Mathcad, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, and STAAD.Pro V8i.
- Experience designing high-rise building structures of 40 floors or more.
- Dubai Municipality accreditation for an Unlimited License.
- Innovative, competent, and results-oriented.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 15,000–25,000 per month.
