Role overview

Join Clio's Strategy & Operations team and partner with its AI Centre of Excellence.

Shape corporate strategy and build AI agents, workflows, and automations, taking high-value work from initial build through team adoption.

The role is available to candidates in Vancouver or Toronto and is a backfill for an existing position.

About Clio

Clio provides legal AI technology for legal professionals and law firms.

Strategy & Operations partners with leaders on corporate and business strategy, new opportunities, business performance, and operating rhythms.

What you'll work on

  • Identify valuable AI opportunities with teams and define problems, desired outcomes, and practical delivery paths.
  • Design, prototype, and ship AI-enabled agents, research or analysis workflows, and process automations for others to use.
  • Connect processes, data, tools, and decisions; translate a vision into sequenced steps.
  • Test solutions with users, verify outputs, document limitations and safeguards, and make work maintainable for adoption and iteration.
  • Contribute to market and expansion assessments, product and business strategy, investment cases, and performance analysis.
  • Support planning, OKRs, business reviews, and Board or executive discussions by turning evidence into insights, choices, and actions.

Experience and qualifications

  • Evidence of building and delivering a solution others use, ideally an AI-enabled workflow, agent, automation, or internal tool.
  • Technical fluency to prototype and deliver directly and collaborate with technical partners on deeper engineering or integration.
  • Strong analytical and strategic judgment: structure ambiguous problems, work with business data, test assumptions, and recommend actions.
  • Ability to work across functions and domains, earn stakeholder trust, and adapt solutions to users' work.
  • Sound judgment about accuracy, confidential information, responsible AI, and appropriate human review.
  • Clear writing and communication about recommendations and solution capabilities and limitations.
  • An MBA, direct AI/SaaS/legal-tech experience, and taking an internal solution from prototype through adoption and handoff are bonuses.

Work arrangement

  • Hybrid work environment; local employees in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, London, New York City, and Sydney are expected in the office at least twice per week.

Compensation and benefits

  • Expected annual salary range is CAD 113,900 to CAD 154,100; placement depends on geographic region, experience, and skillset.
  • The employer lists health, dental, and vision benefits, flexible time off, an annual counseling benefit, RRSP matching, RESP contribution, and service recognition.
