Role overview

Clio seeks a Senior Strategy & Operations Associate to help shape corporate strategy and build AI-enabled solutions that teams use.

The role works with Strategy & Operations and the AI Centre of Excellence, taking valuable opportunities from problem definition through delivery and adoption.

Candidates may be based in Vancouver or Toronto; the posting also lists a hybrid work environment with local employees expected in the office at least twice per week.

AI Centre of Excellence work

  • Identify recurring work and valuable AI opportunities with cross-functional teams, then define problems, outcomes, and delivery paths.
  • Design, prototype, and ship internal agents, research or analysis workflows, process automations, and other AI-enabled solutions.
  • Test with users, verify outputs, document limitations and safeguards, and make solutions maintainable and ready for adoption.

Strategy and operations work

  • Contribute to market and expansion assessments, product and business strategy, investment cases, and performance analysis.
  • Support planning, OKRs, business reviews, and Board or executive discussions by turning evidence into insights, choices, and actions.
  • Connect processes, data, tools, and decision points, and translate strategic direction into sequenced steps.

Candidate requirements

  • Evidence of building and delivering something others use, ideally an AI-enabled workflow, agent, automation, internal tool, or similar solution.
  • Technical fluency to prototype directly and collaborate with technical partners on deeper engineering or integration.
  • Strong strategic and analytical judgment; able to structure ambiguity, work with data, test assumptions, and make recommendations.
  • Able to collaborate across functions, earn stakeholder trust, adapt solutions to real work, and communicate clearly.
  • Sound judgment about accuracy, confidentiality, responsible AI, and when human review is needed.

Background and preferred qualifications

  • Background may include strategy and operations, product, consulting, solutions delivery, or another combination of business judgment and hands-on building.
  • An MBA, direct AI, SaaS, or legal technology experience, and experience taking an internal solution from prototype through adoption and handoff are bonuses.

Compensation

  • Expected annual salary range is CAD 113,900 to CAD 154,100; placement depends on geography, experience, and skillset.

Workplace and benefits

  • Hybrid work environment; local employees in listed locations are expected to work in the office at least twice per week.
  • Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible time off, an annual counseling benefit, RRSP matching, and RESP contribution.
