We Are Hiring: Senior Manager – Statistics (Emirati – Dubai Passport)
The Senior Manager will oversee all statistical activities related to the collection, classification, validation, and analysis of trade data (imports, exports, re‑exports) across Dubai ports.
The mission: deliver accurate, timely, and internationally compliant trade statistics that support decision‑making and economic competitiveness.

This position directly influences Dubai’s global trade intelligence, economic planning, and international competitiveness.
The selected leader will shape the future of statistical excellence within one of the most critical government sectors.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning — Develop and execute short‑ and medium‑term strategies for the Statistics Department.
- Policy & SOP Development — Establish comprehensive policies, procedures, and SOPs for data operations.
- Lead the transformation of the department toward world‑class statistical excellence.
- Budget Leadership — Prepare, manage, and monitor the department’s annual budget in line with financial governance.
- Oversee the timely collection, processing, and analysis of trade statistics.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all statistical outputs.
- Deliver business intelligence insights on trade trends, risks, and economic indicators.
- Digital Transformation — Implement advanced technologies to enhance statistical systems.
- Represent the organization in local, GCC, and international statistical forums.
- Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of statisticians and analysts.
- Identify training needs and build institutional capabilities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Qualifications
- Nationality: Emirati only (Dubai passport).
- Experience: 10–12 years in statistics, trade data, or economic research.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Strong background in strategic planning, data governance, and process improvement.
- Experience in digital transformation of statistical systems.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Higher Diploma in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Master’s degree preferred.
