The goal is to make AI-assisted development and agentic automation a secure, seamless operating model across engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead DevEx and SDLC technical direction and design scalable agentic systems for the software development lifecycle.
- Build reusable developer-platform architecture on public cloud and collaborate on organizational DevEx and AI-DLC strategy.
- Translate business needs into adoptable solutions; address developer environments, CI/CD supply chains, authentication, and quality gates.
- Drive tool adoption, diagnose friction, and establish shared tools and components as organizational standards.
- Embed DevSecOps and cloud-native security; create documentation, enablement guides, and implementation processes.
- Build proof of concepts, mentor senior developers, and participate in architectural reviews.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on DevEx experience building internal developer platforms, golden-path templates, automated quality gates, and shared engineering component libraries.
- 8+ years of scalable software development experience with software design accountability.
- 2+ years in technical leadership driving organization-wide platform capabilities or engineering productivity.
- Expertise in DevEx, SDLC tooling, or engineering productivity systems, plus hands-on AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and LLM tooling.
- Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge; API-first design, loosely coupled systems, and modern software architecture.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code, DevSecOps, and CI/CD; coding experience in Python and/or Java.
- Familiarity with AWS or GCP; Azure is a bonus. FastAPI or Spring Boot are cited as familiar frameworks.
- Experience integrating systems such as Jira, CI, and observability; strong communication, influence, and ambiguity-navigation skills.
- Commitment to secure, ethical delivery and an inclusive engineering culture.
Workplace
- Benevity describes its work approach as flexible hybrid, with no set in-office time for people near an office.
