Senior Specialist, Warehouse Operations Excellence

Job purpose

Warehouse operations accountabilities

• Develop and implement warehouse strategies and procedures aligned with company objectives.
• Create safety and operating-procedure training for warehouse supervisors and staff.
• Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and execute action plans.
• Improve inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving practices.
• Coordinate with transportation, logistics, and other departments to integrate warehouse operations.
• Review safety and regulatory compliance and advise on corrective action.
• Manage the warehouse budget and develop cost-reduction strategies.
• Advise on facility and equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts as needed.
• Monitor industry developments and implement appropriate new technologies and processes.

General accountabilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities; train and develop assigned staff.
• Contribute to budgets, implement approved plans, and investigate significant variances for cost control.
• Implement approved policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures.
• Support performance objectives and design tools and techniques to improve operational quality and efficiency.
• Comply with HSE policies, legislation, sustainability guidelines, and applicable standards.
• Provide input to management information and progress reports.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; a related field is also accepted.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10 years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
• Relevant warehouse management, supply chain management, or logistics certifications preferred.
