Senior Specialist, Offer Lifecycle Procurement

Role overview

Offer lifecycle and sourcing

• Lead procurement from early exploration and product specifications through sourcing, supplier selection, contracting, launch, ramp-up, and lifecycle management.
• Develop sourcing strategies for semiconductors, PCB/PCBA, embedded systems, connectivity solutions, power supplies, and sensors, including work with EMS/ODM partners.
• Challenge technical requirements and design choices with R&D and Product teams to improve standardization, manufacturability, cost competitiveness, and product performance.
• Address availability, obsolescence, and single-source risks with resilience strategies and alternative sourcing plans.

Partnerships and collaboration

• Manage relationships with semiconductor suppliers, electronics manufacturing partners, design houses, technology providers, and co-development partners.
• Shape agreements covering commercial terms, intellectual property, development responsibilities, tooling and development costs, industrialization, quality, cybersecurity, and lifecycle support.
• Use supplier-market, technology, and cost insights to influence design, sourcing, and Make/Buy/Partner decisions.
• Align cross-functional priorities and facilitate decisions without direct authority.

Data-driven procurement

• Use procurement data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve market intelligence, cost transparency, supplier visibility, risk assessment, and portfolio decisions.
• Promote responsible use of digital tools and AI, with data quality, confidentiality, and appropriate human oversight.
• Share priorities, performance indicators, risks, decisions, and lessons learned to support execution.

Qualifications

• Background in procurement, strategic sourcing, or a related technical field, ideally in an electronics- or technology-driven environment.
• Good understanding of electronic technologies, supplier markets, and sourcing business considerations.
• Hands-on experience managing cross-functional projects, supplier relationships, and negotiations, and driving initiatives through execution.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution, manage priorities, and navigate complex challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence decisions and constructively challenge ideas.
• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency in French and English.

Additional qualifications

• Knowledge of semiconductors, PCB/PCBA, embedded systems, or EMS/ODM partners is an asset.
• Exposure to strategic partnerships, complex supplier agreements, or intellectual property considerations is an asset.
• International team collaboration and familiarity with procurement analytics, digital tools, or AI-enabled solutions are assets.

Compensation

• Expected pay range is CAD 114,750–CAD 162,000 per year, including base pay and short-term incentives.
