Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Liaising with the creative department to create brand production’s guidelines.
• Effectively sources private label apparel suppliers and building relationships with the Agents and Suppliers.
• Negotiates prices and determines appropriate order placement based on factory capabilities, quality and delivery.
• Develops and continuously evaluates the appropriate agent/vendor/factory structure for private label apparel or hard goods.
• Ensures factories are capable of producing quality garments and can meet our requirements.
• Performs special related projects as assigned.
• Begins to understand category complexity and its impact on the level of oversight and management required.
• Coordinate with his/her colleagues in the same department to ensure the annual plan is set and achieved
• Coordinate with colleagues across departments such as Accounts, Logistics, and Inventory to ensure orders are shipped on time and distributed to stores across regions as planned.
• Perform data analysis on products, product categories, and vendors to extract valuable insights that support future order planning.
• Identify new market trends and opportunities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of apparel manufacturing, including fabric, color, yarn, garment construction, fit and specifications.
• Strong ability to break down the actual cost of a garment.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well in a team environment.
• Established relationship building skills with Buyers, agents and factories.
• Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational and follow through skills.
• Thorough understanding and maintains SKUs for multiple products within category.
• Strong Analytical skills, ability to analyse vendors’ or orders performance.
