Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design and operate services in the booking and connectivity path.
• Make architecture decisions involving consistency, latency, caching, correctness, retries, and duplicate bookings.
• Debug production issues across services, runtimes, networks, and third-party airline APIs.
• Raise engineering standards through detailed design reviews and code reviews.
• Shape internal platform engineering tooling, including context engineering, MCP servers, and AI-assisted development infrastructure.

Requirements

• Have at least 4 years of software development experience with meaningful time on high-traffic backend systems.
• Have practical experience designing and operating distributed systems under real load.
• Reason about memory, garbage collection, threads versus asynchronous execution, and operating-system behavior.
• Have on-call experience and be able to debug incidents using metrics and traces under pressure.
• Investigate performance issues beyond surface-level symptoms.
• Demonstrate a can-do attitude and fluency in AI-assisted development, including understanding tool failure modes.
• Equivalent experience in Java, C++, Rust, or comparable technologies can transfer to the stated stack.

Technology Stack

• The stack includes Go and .NET on GCP and OpenStack.
• Infrastructure and data technologies include Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.

Workplace and Schedule

• The work mode is hybrid.
• Work timings are 12 noon to 9 pm IST.

Interview and Application

• The process includes a practical coding and debugging session, a live system design session, and a detailed discussion of a system the candidate built.
• Applicants should submit a CV and a 10-15 sentence plain-text answer describing the hardest production problem they personally debugged.
