Role overview

What you'll do

• Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, aligned with platform and system objectives.
• Write clean, efficient, reliable code across languages and drive delivery through CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI/ML components to improve software intelligence and development innovation.
• Participate in solution design and evaluate trade-offs for scalable, secure, maintainable systems.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes with cross-functional partners.
• Monitor application performance and support improvement through proactive testing and observability.

Minimum qualifications

• Option 1: bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Option 2: 5 years of software engineering or related experience.

What you'll bring

• Expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
• Experience delivering features and managing the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Proficiency in debugging, code review, and continuous development methodologies.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable solutions aligned with platform and business objectives.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and using generative AI tools to improve development efficiency.
• Technical judgment, sound decision-making, adaptability, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Team technologies and preferred qualifications

• The team works with Java, Rust, reactive programming, Kafka, Cassandra, caching, Resilience4J, and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: related master's degree and 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.

Workplace

• Full-time onsite role based in Bellevue, Washington; remote and hybrid options are not available.

Compensation

• Annual salary range is $108,000–$216,000, with possible annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock for certain positions.
