Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build and operate secure, scalable digital experiences and reusable design-system components, blocks, and templates.
• Define component architecture, APIs, contribution standards, documentation, and versioning.
• Integrate Adobe services, APIs, identity, content, analytics, forms, and enterprise services.
• Apply AI coding agents across the software lifecycle and establish safeguards for generated code.
• Implement automated testing and quality practices in CI/CD pipelines.
• Own delivery through deployment, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement; coach engineers and review code.

Requirements

• Related post-secondary degree or equivalent education and relevant professional experience.
• At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience with enterprise digital solutions.
• Advanced JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, modern web development, and component architecture.
• Experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services, Adobe Experience Manager, or a comparable enterprise digital experience platform.
• Experience with design systems, reusable components, design tokens, responsive interfaces, accessibility, performance, SEO, browser compatibility, and secure development.
• Experience with APIs and enterprise integrations, professional AI coding tools, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and cloud delivery tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to translate business and design outcomes into production deliverables.

Additional qualifications

• Adobe Edge Delivery Services, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Web SDK, Analytics, Target, or Adobe Developer certifications are stand-out qualifications.
• Figma, design-token workflows, Storybook, design-system governance, enterprise AI agent configuration, content migration, modernization, or replatforming experience may be advantageous.
• Python, C#, cloud-native services, containers, Kubernetes, Azure certifications, and financial-services or regulated-industry experience may be advantageous.

Compensation

• Software Engineer 18 salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experience, plus a performance-based incentive.

Workplace and location

• Hybrid work currently requires three office days per week, subject to change.
• The role may be based at EDC headquarters in Ottawa or a Community Hub in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, or Vancouver.
• Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.
