Role overview

What you will own

• Design and operate secure, scalable, reliable payment gateways, transaction processing, reconciliation, and settlement services.
• Build integrations with POS systems, payment providers, financial partners, and other third-party platforms.
• Use AI development tools for discovery, coding, debugging, testing, reviews, documentation, and refactoring while maintaining engineering quality.
• Build agentic workflows that retrieve information, call tools, interact with internal systems, and execute controlled actions.
• Apply permissions, human approval, guardrails, monitoring, auditability, and fallback mechanisms to agentic systems.
• Improve performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency; write tested, maintainable, documented code.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture, engineering standards, and continuous improvement.

What you will need

• Production-grade software application development experience and hands-on Golang experience.
• Fluency in English and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, or agentic workflows.
• Experience designing secure, scalable solutions and knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
• Database, data modelling, and database design proficiency; experience with POS, payment providers, or complex integrations.
• Production AI application experience and understanding of AI risks such as hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, nondeterminism, and unsafe tool execution.
• Experience with automated testing, observability, debugging, and performance optimization.

Preferred experience

• Payments, fintech, hospitality technology, or high-growth marketplace experience is a plus.
• Payment gateways, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, chargeback systems, or production AI-agent experience is a plus.
• Model evaluation, prompt management, AI observability, guardrails, LLM cost optimization, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, or retrieval systems are advantageous.
• Cloud platforms, containerized services, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, PCI DSS, data privacy, secure software development, and modern React development are nice to have.
