Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Workplace

• Remote position; candidates must live within approximately 70 miles of the Allen, Texas office.
• An onsite interview or in-person onboarding may be required to verify identity.

Responsibilities

• Perform and potentially lead system analysis and programming, including research and quality delivery into production.
• Provide engineering support for applications from code delivery through retirement.
• Develop, test, and review applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Follow coding practices and consider effects of code changes on users and internal teams; review less experienced colleagues' code as needed.
• Collaborate with QA and lead cross-team work, critical deliverables, and cross-functional discussions as needed.
• Create technical documentation and participate in defining and documenting standards.
• Stay current with technology trends and recommend software development process improvements.
• Lead unit and integration tests, debug and troubleshoot issues, and contribute to product architecture.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of technical experience in software development.
• Experience with C++, Windows programming (MFC), C#, and WPF.
• Experience integrating embedded web technologies such as CefSharp and WebView2.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Preferred experience

• Angular experience is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science is a plus.
• Automation using Coded UI or Selenium, HTML and JavaScript, and financial industry knowledge are pluses.

Compensation

• Salary range is $105,900–$145,000 per year, determined by location and experience.
