Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Perform system analysis and programming, researching issues and delivering software into production effectively and on time.
• Support new and existing applications from code delivery through retirement.
• Develop, test, and review applications against business requirements and industry best practices; use established coding guidance.
• Consider how code changes affect end users and internal teams; review less-experienced colleagues' code when appropriate.
• Work with QA and cross-functional teams; lead or complete critical deliverables and set expectations for scope and timelines.
• Create technical documentation, follow and help define standards, and recommend process improvements based on emerging technologies.
• Lead or perform unit and integration testing; debug and troubleshoot issues, and contribute to product architecture.

Required qualifications

• At least 6 years of technical experience in software development.
• Experience with C++, Windows programming (MFC), C#, and WPF.
• Experience integrating embedded web technologies such as CefSharp and WebView2.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Angular; a bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science; or automation experience using CodedUI or Selenium.
• Experience with HTML and JavaScript and knowledge of the financial industry.

Workplace and location

• The description calls the job remote but also gives a Hybrid workplace label; candidates must live within approximately 70 miles of the Allen, Texas office.

Compensation

• Salary range is $105,900–$145,000, determined by location and experience.
