Role overview

Oracle BRM and billing systems

• Design, develop, configure, and support Oracle BRM 12.x and 15.x solutions in enterprise telecom environments.
• Develop custom BRM components including Opcodes, MTA applications, and integrations using PCM C and PCM Java.
• Configure customer account, subscription, rating and charging, billing and invoicing, accounts receivable, taxation, and general ledger modules.
• Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and migrations; provide L2/L3 production troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Monitor bill cycles and resolve billing accuracy issues; validate rating outcomes, balance impacts, and billing events using SQL and database analysis.

Pricing and mediation

• Configure pricing catalogs, offers, discounts, bundles, packages, Friends & Family and Closed User Group models, thresholds, tiers, and zone- or time-based pricing.
• Manage pricing migrations, publishing, import/export, and deployment; maintain consistency across PDC, Pipeline Manager, and BRM.
• Participate in pricing governance, deployment planning, rollback procedures, and production validation.
• Design and maintain OCOMC mediation workflows and custom SDK-based cartridges.
• Mediate voice, SMS, data, and roaming usage through parsing, transformation, enrichment, routing, and validation; troubleshoot failures and maintain data integrity.
• Support OCOMC upgrades and migrations while maintaining service continuity.

Reporting, cloud, and DevOps

• Develop operational, financial, and customer reports, data models, SQL datasets, and RTF/XLSX invoice templates using BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Publisher.
• Configure report scheduling, bursting, and automated distribution; maintain report accuracy, completeness, and performance.
• Support cloud-native deployments of BRM, PDC, OCOMC, and BI Publisher; perform Kubernetes and Helm deployments and upgrades.
• Participate in CI/CD, release management, deployment automation, version control, branching, and release governance across development, test, and production.

Required experience

• At least 8–10+ years of hands-on telecom industry experience.
• Extensive Oracle BRM 12.x and 15.x experience.
• Proven development, implementation, upgrade, migration, and production-support experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical telecom billing and mediation platforms.

Technical and domain expertise

• Technical stack includes PDC, OCOMC, BI Publisher/Oracle Analytics Publisher, Pipeline Manager, PCM C and Java, custom Opcodes, MTA applications, Unix/Linux, Shell and Perl, PL/SQL, WebLogic, Kubernetes, Helm, and Git.
• Domain areas include billing and revenue management, product catalogs, rating and charging, revenue assurance, discounting and promotions, roaming, mediation, billing reconciliation, and customer lifecycle management.
• OCOMC work includes node-chain design and administration, CC/EP/AP/ECEDC/JDBC DC nodes, custom cartridges, suspense and recycle processing, binary and ASN parsing, and OCOMC-ECE integration.
• Reporting expertise includes enterprise reporting, scheduling and bursting, invoice generation, SQL performance tuning, data analysis, and visualization.

Preferred qualifications

• Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) 2024/2025 experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Nokia network elements and CDR formats, cloud-native telecom BSS deployments, revenue assurance frameworks, and Agile/DevOps environments is preferred.
• Key competencies include problem-solving, analytical skills, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, stakeholder communication, documentation, and managing production-critical systems.
